Given that the recommended age is between age 1 and 3 years, it’s incredibly important for kids of that age to have a useful, easy-to-use, and simple toy by their side while growing up.

The first and probably most notable disadvantage is the fact that it uses a 3.5mm audio jack as a connection, rather than USB or even Bluetooth. This isn’t a big deal for Android and PC users, but iOS users would beg to differ. As you may know, Apple decided to eliminate the 3.5mm port right before the iPhone 7 was launched. Therefore, if you have an iPhone 7, or any subsequent generation, you’ll need a dongle.
Another thing most parents were complaining about is the bulky battery pack. While this isn’t too much of a concern in regards to functionality, it does take away a bit from the fun factor. In other words, kids like playing with soft and cuddly toys instead of with toys that have a bulky box inside them. It makes the toy feel more like an inanimate object rather than a “sentient” friend.
Like any other battery-powered toy, this one tends to lose sound quality once battery charge drops low. It’s not a massive concern by any means, but it’s definitely something you should keep in mind. We would advise buying a couple of extra batteries so that you can avoid unpleasant scenarios and drops of sound quality altogether.
One more thing that’s worth pointing out is the database of names that comes with this toy. In other words, while it’s advertised as a toy that can say your child’s name, it can do so only if that specific name is in the included database. In case it’s not in the database, the toy will spell the name rather than pronounce it. As with most other disadvantages, this one isn’t a massive, game-breaking one, but it’s something you should keep in mind nonetheless.
